Frank is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Polarion Software, responsible for driving Polarion's global business strategy and operations. He also serves on Polarion's Board of Directors.
Frank brings over 20 years experience in the Software and IT industries, including a long track record of building successful international operations to the team. At Polarion, he is focused on building a fast growing, market-driven company that delivers next-generation Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) products for enterprise customers around the globe.
Before joining Polarion, Frank was an executive at multiple global companies, building businesses with double-digit annual growth rates as well as managing successful M&As and IPOs. Frank served as Vice President of Sales at Atoss Software AG, a public company providing solutions for process management and resource planning. Prior to joining Atoss, he lead the European operations of TogetherSoft (acquired by Borland), a vendor of model-driven development platforms. Before that, Frank worked for MKS (acquired by PTC), where he founded the German subsidiary and as the VP International established the company's international operations.
Frank holds a degree in business administration from the University of Tübingen, Germany.
Michael brings over 25 years of proven technology sales, service, and operations experience to Polarion. At Workshare he was Executive VP of worldwide sales and produced record breaking numbers. At Symantec, he was VP of a strategic business unit generating more than $170 million annually. He also brings executive sales and operations experience from ON Technology, Novadigm, and MKS.
Michael is an expert in identifying well-timed, high-growth businesses, and was a key player in the acquisitions of ON Technologies by Symantec, Novadigm by Hewlett Packard, and the successful MKS IPO. Michael is an experienced professional in Corporate and Government sales, Channels, Operations, and Strategic Alliances. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo.
George (Jürg) Briner, Swiss citizen, is holder of a master degree in business economics of Hochschule St. Gallen (lic. oec. HSG) and Swiss CPA. He has extensive professional experience in the areas of finance, accounting and controlling at both national and international companies.
Before joining Polarion, Mr. Briner held the position of CFO at different public companies in the Prime Segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and held a handful of successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) at Wall Street’s and European Stock Exchanges. Previous to that, he was employed in senior commercial employments at various international corporations and at KPMG in Geneva and Zurich.
Mr. Briner worked and lived in Asia, Africa, the US and different European countries. He is fluent in English, German, French and Italian.
Stefano brings a wide and heterogeneous set of skills to the company. In a career spanning some 20 years he has been a methodology consultant, a pre-sales engineer, an IT researcher, a university professor, VP of R&D for a large consortium, Regional Sales Director for a U.S. Software company, and CEO of two software development organizations.
With his broad experience in the Application Lifecycle Management arena he headed up product management for Polarion's Polarion ALM for Subversion and Polarion SVN Free and Open Source Subversion Tools product lines. Since 2010 he is responsible for strategic development of Polarion Software, serving as official spokesperson and vision leader.
Stefano holds a Master Degree of Computer Science from the University of Genoa.
Nikolay has over 15 years experience in Software Engineering. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's software development activities. Prior to this position, he was Director of Engineering, and lead the development of an ALM platform for SAP NetWeaver.
Before joining Polarion Nikolay was a Senior Software Developer at Object International Software, which later became TogetherSoft where he lead the Integration Team and served as technical lead of that company's cooperation with SAP. Prior to these companies, he gained some 8 years experience as docent for Computer Science at the Lyceum for Physics and Mathematics in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Nikolay holds an MS in Software Engineering from the Electrical Engineering University, St. Petersburg.
Jiri brings over 15 years experience in software product management and engineering to Polarion, where he is responsible for the product road map and product management. His unique mix of technical acumen and business savvy enables him to translate market needs into enterprise-grade solutions that are proven to help Polarion customers accelerate collaboration, integrity and innovation.
Before joining Polarion, Jiri worked at Disnet Software, where he had the opportunity to advance user experience and satisfaction, and where he established a strong track record of successful projects initiatives. Prior to that role, he worked as a software developer and architect focusing on visionary projects based on Meta-Object Facility standards and model-driven engineering.
Jiri holds a master's degree in Mathematics from the Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
