Course Objectives:

This course will give you a detailed overview how to administer and configure Subversion to your needs. It covers typical scenarios from an administrational point of view. Essential concepts of subversion are explained as well as differences to other version control systems like CVS. The course will teach you how to set up subversion from a security point of view. You will learn how to secure subversion and how to manage roles, passwords and access rights. The different set-up options between having Apache and SVNServer will be explained. The course explains different concepts to back-up your data. In various exercises you will experience how you can back-up and restore subversion repositories.
