Licensing and Pricing Information

Polarion Track & Wiki license is Perpetual and provided on Named User basis. The license type is assigned to a specific users identified by their login name.

The Polarion Software License Agreement is included with all Polarion software for your review and acceptance prior to use. Polarion SLA´s are in use by more than 1 million users world-wide. Our SLA´s have been very carefully authored to be fair both to you and to us. Maintaining a standard SLA with all of our customers allows us to keep our costs low, focus our resources on developing and supporting great products, and provide low prices to you. Therefore, no changes are permitted to the SLA.

Technical Support and Maintenance

Your license entitles you to perpetual use of the software. The first year´s fees for Software Support and Maintenance are mandatory and shall be added to the license purchase, commencing on the date of license purchase. Subsequent year software support and maintenance is renewable at your option, at the price in effect at the time or renewal. You may purchase extended software support and maintenance with your license order to lock in the current price.

When does my Polarion software support and maintenance start?

Your 12 month software maintenance period will commence from the date of payment confirmation. For Perpetual Renewals: Your 12 month software maintenance will commence from the expiration date of the previous maintenance period, regardless of when the maintenance renewal was purchased.

How do I Purchase Polarion Track & Wiki?

Use the ssecure online order form to place your orders.

All credit card purchases will be processed through PayPal. On completion of the credit card transaction, an email will be sent which contains the product download link, your license key, and an invoice.

If purchasing via check, money order, or bank transfer, you complete the secure online order form requesting one of these payment options. You will receive a quote containing payment instructions via email, which you may subsequently pay using your preferred method. You will receive the product download link, your license key, and an invoice via email as soon as Polarion receives confirmation of your payment.

Payment Options and Terms

You may pay for your purchase by any of the flowing methods:

• Credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express) – fastest way (1 to 3 business days)
• Bank transfer – can take up to 7 business days to clear
• Cheque or money order – mail/post and bank clearance can take up to 2 weeks

Terms are strictly cash only (i.e. 0 day). This means that the license key will only be issued after your payment is received.

If you have placed your order but find that you are waiting for your organization to actually make the payment, you may obtain a fully-functional evaluation license to help you cope with any bureaucratic delays. An evaluation license key is automatically sent by Polarion to the email address provided by you during the process of downloading the product.

Product and License Key Delivery

Your license key(s) is delivered by email after processing of your order and receipt of your payment. Your confirmation email includes instructions, the license key, a download link for the product, and an invoice. If you have already downloaded the product, you do not need to do so again unless a new version has been released in the interim.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Volume discounts for Track & Wiki are less than $5.00 per user! Please contact us to receive a quote.

How can we add additional Tack & Wiki users? For example, if we have 25 users now and want to add 10 more, could we just buy an additional 10 pack license?

Track & Wiki is purchased is set license packs of 10-users, 25-users, 250-users, and 2500-users. The license packs are cumulative when used on the same server. For example to increase to 35 users from 25 users on same server, you simply purchase a 10-user pack for total of 35. Alternatively, you might purchase a second 25-user pack for a total of 50 users on same server. Of course you can also choose to install 25 users on one server, and 10 users on a second server.

Do you offer free license for Academic users or Open Source Projects?

Yes. All Polarion solutions are available for use in recognized educational institutions for free – no license fees of any kind. The same policy applies to bona fide open source projects. Polarion Software benefits from our educators, students, and the open source movement. We now have over 1 million users globally. In appreciation, we give back to the education and open source communities: Polarion Track & Wiki, Polarion Requirements, Polarion ALM, along with the full suite of Polarion Subversion utilities, are provided to these communities free of license fees to use and enjoy.

• Education License: Polarion offers licenses for educational use in colleges and universities, or recognized educational institutions for use in educational instruction, assignments, or non-commercial research projects. The Education license may not be shared with or utilized by any person who is not an instructor, student, or employee of the colleges, universities, or recognized educational institutions. • Open Source License: Polarion offers licenses for qualified open source software projects as determined solely by Polarion Software. The Open Source license may not be shared with or utilized by any person who is not a member of the licensed open source project. For information or assistance, please email us.

Are there any discounts for government organizations?

Polarion Software does not offer discounts to government organizations that purchase licenses directly from Polarion. Government discounts are only available through Polarion Reseller Partners per the various government contracts (e.g. GSA) negotiated by our Reseller Partners. For help in locating an authorized Polarion Reseller to receive government discounts, please contact us.

Do you offer hosting options?

Because Polarion is 100% web based, hosting is easy. You may install Polarion locally, or you may install Polarion off-site (for example at your service provider), or you may request for Polarion to provide you with hosting services. If you are interested in an annual contract for Polarion hosting services please contact us.

Where can I find the actual Polarion Software License Agreement?

The Polarion Software License Agreement is included with all Polarion software for your acceptance prior to use. How is the software distributed? Will I receive a CD-ROM or shrink-wrapped product?

Polarion has adopted the Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) model. Polarion software is available only via HTTP download. Polarion does not distribute any software on CD, DVD or as a shrink wrapped product.
