New embedded SQL database layer:

  • More efficient Work Item searching for dynamic Wiki report pages
  • No iterating over thousands of Work Items to find relatively few
     

Backward compatible:

  • No change to manual search features
  • Artifacts still stored in Subversion with history
  • Does not replace the Apache Lucene query engine
  • Existing Lucene-based queries are unaffected
